Southern Tier Auto
Buffs or also know as “STAB” is a
non-profit club, which was established
in 1986, by nine members. These original
nine members sought to establish a club
that allowed them to do something for
their community thru their love for the
automotive and special interest hobby.
STAB was based on the
auto, special interest vehicles, and
family orientated values. The 1st.
meeting was held in August of 1986 at
Hap Perry Motors on Erie Road in Angola
New York. With Bill Voletz being elected
as the 1st. president of the club.
STAB was than
incorporated on November 14th. 1994 with
four of it’s founding members still very
active!
To date STAB has
and/or is involved with fund rising
events for:
- Mercy Flight (to date has
raised over $40,000.00)
- Woodlawn Fire Company
- Colden Fire Company
- Annie Hoffman Fund
- Cradle Beach
- Variety Club of Buffalo
Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation
- VFW Angola Post #5798 Food Drive
The club is always
looking for new members. We currently
meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month at
7:00 pm. at the American Legion Post 928
located at 7353 Erie Rd in Derby.
